Aurora Expeditions were always destined to be different. With a passion for adventure and exploring wild places with friends, they have 25 years of experience conducting small-group, personal expeditions. All of their cruises are on ships of 60-passengers or less, one of the very few companies operating trips of this size. Less people means more solitude and greater flexibility, and with less people to ferry ashore they often make more landings. This also ensures personal attention and a select group size with whom to share the adventure. On intimate expeditions varying in length from 10 to 24 days, enjoy the ultimate adventure with Aurora Expeditions. Now introducing a New World Class Expedition Ship for the 2019/20 season, read more below, and be one of the first to cruise on this exciting new experience! EXCLUSIVE NEWS
Aurora Expeditions is excited to announce the launch of their brand-new expedition ship. With 25 years’ experience in expedition cruising, they have worked with the world’s leading naval engineers to create a custom-designed and purpose-built vessel to make polar exploring even easier. The new ship will feature state-of-the-art technology, including a patented X-BOW design which offers greater stability and more comfort in open sea crossings – especially crossing Antarctica’s Drake Passage. Add to this a sea-level Zodiac loading platform for easy boarding, dedicated activity areas, and plenty of observation decks for the ultimate expeditionary experience. This includes a 180-degree indoor observation deck, wellness facilities including gymnasium, sauna and spa. The ship will also feature spacious cabins with private bathroom facilities, and selected categories will include floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony options. To be completed in time for the 2019/2020 Antarctic season it will complement their existing fleet of vessels and destinations.
