Nomads of the Seas® is based on a state-of-the-art expedition cruiser, the "Atmosphere", that offers guests Grand Class comfort aboard, with gourmet cuisine, and the unique opportunity of exploring Patagonia by air, land and water. She also offers a sauna, massage and hot-tubs on deck. Built in 2006 with a capacity for up to 28 guests and a crew of 32, Nomads of the Seas® can deliver unsurpassed excitement, in great luxury, in unexplored surroundings of incredible beauty. Her accommodation includes 4 King/Queen cabins and 10 Twin cabins. |

Thanks to its first rate crew and cutting edge air- and water-transport systems, highlight activities include the thrill of fly-fishing in sparkling clear waters far from other human contact, or the majesty of whale-watching, as well as bird-watching and nature photography. And by using a combination of helicopter transportation and raft/kayak/RIB water transport, guests can conduct a widely varied range of soft outdoor adventures in the southernmost corner of the world.
Using the ship as a base for accommodation and relaxing, and the vessel's helicopter and series of "water toys" to conduct excursions into seldom visited sites in Patagonia, these include innovative ideas such as collapsible kayaks that can be carried aboard the helicopter, as well as the ship's jet boats and powerful RIB Zodiac, and smaller heli-portable zodiacs. So, climb into the helicopter, find the right spot and go fishing! |

Nomads of the Seas® operates each year between November and March - spring, summer and part of the fall in the Southern hemisphere. Their one-week trips set sail from, and finish in, the Chilean city of Puerto Montt, gateway to Patagonia and barely over an hour’s flight from Chile’s capital , Santiago. There is NO fixed itinerary! Trips are simply matched to offer the best experience with the weather.
Nomads of the Seas® offers four programs. In their Ultimate Fly-Fishing Program, skilled anglers from all over the world come to Nomads of the Seas® to enjoy one of the best fishing safaris of their life. Aboard the helicopter or jet-boats, they travel to spots carefully selected for their beauty, isolation and wild nature, where previously flown-in jet skiffs, Mackenzie drift boats and cata-rafts are already waiting to make the most of these magnificent fishing sites. Groups are free to explore privileged sites, including some that have rarely seen a fishing line. Due to these conditions, trophy catches are not hard to find at Nomads! |

In their Wildlife Adventures program, guests experience the most stimulating of outdoor activities with a unique scientific approach. Environmental experts guide the whale and bird-watching excursions, showing their local knowledge and delivering interesting facts about the many species. These trips can be combined with nature photography as well. This program is topped by a group of activities created for explorers interested in more vigorous appreciation of the beauty of Chilean Patagonia, seen from different and exciting viewpoints. The invitation is to experience the breath-taking scenery, from unique perspectives: the thrill of jet-boating or rafting, the peaceful charm of kayaking and trekking, the everlasting joy of horseback riding, and the awe inspiring adventure of flying over Patagonia aboard a helicopter to see some of the most impressive views of our planet!

Nomads of the Seas® have also recently added a Patagonia Heli-ski package to their list of Programs. Here, guests can experience the unique thrill of being lifted off in the Bell 407 helicopter from aboard the Atmosphere, and flown to exclusive locations in the Andes and Coastal Mountain Ranges of Patagonia. Transporting adventurers to peaks that can only be reached by air or after many days of arduous approach by foot, these have been previously explored by Nomads´ specialists, proving their accessibility, level of difficulty and quality of descent. The virgin snow allows expert skiers to slide down at great speed on slopes overlooking the sea, with panoramic views of glaciers and fjords. Few places in the world offer such a spectacular combination of perfect snow, adrenaline packed adventure and breath-taking landscapes. NB. Heli-skiing is only available from mid September to November – the best months for skiing in Patagonia.

With Southern Patagonia as the backdrop, there are thousands of unexplored sites that, with the help of Nomads of the Seas® guides, can be the perfect setting for diverse and highly dynamic activities specially designed for each group. They offer maximum flexibility, adapting the trip duration, itinerary, activities and services of the tour to meet the needs and objectives of the group. They can turn participants into scientists on a mission to analyse the behaviour of cetaceans; stage the ultimate survival workshop; arrange for an enriching fly fishing experiential course; or get everybody involved in a scouting project. Each morning guests wake up to different sceneries and schedules filled with new activities, making best use of the cutting-edge gear aboard. |
