ANTARTICA XXI announce the addition of MV Magellan Explorer, a brand new expedition vessel, to their Antartic fleet for the 2019/20 Antartic season!
MV Magellan Explorer is being built in Chile, and will be the first small passenger ship purpose built for Antarctica in the last 14 years. Reinforcing their commitment to the small-ship model, capacity will be limited to 70 passengers per air-cruise departure, with each departure fed by a single flight. The ship will features 50 passenger cabins in five categories including dedicated single cabins. These will be modern and spacious, with 42 cabins featuring a large window and private balcony. All cabins will feature a private bathroom and sitting area. Public areas will include a large observation lounge, sundeck, a large dining room, plus a gift shop, gym, and sauna. Adventure activities, such as kayaking and snowshoeing, will be available to guests. Keep checking this site for the sailing dates!
